JROTC at Ripon High School is a program based on team building and self-esteem building through a challenging and competitive curriculum.
Competition is a large part of helping our cadets develop a balanced view of winning and losing in all aspects of daily life. Therefore, we continuously motivate our cadets to give their best in all that they do, ie: grades, sports, community service, and home responsibilities.

We currently have six periods a day of JROTC. Five periods are structured in a company format with a mix of LET 1-4 students. One period is for the Battalion staff which is composed of LET 2-4 students. In addition to curriculum instruction, the companies are tasked to support the battalion in many community and school service support activities. The battalion staff operates by command and staff identified annual mission, through assessments then by establishing written operation plans. After each mission, all levels of command and support conduct an after action review to improve all actions of the operation.

The instructors concentrate on coaching and guiding all cadets through their high school years to establish goals and ensure that each cadet has a plan of direction upon graduation.
